The transvaginal mesh implant is like a woven fabric that is designed to help treat bladder and pelvic prolapse in women. Known also as a pelvic sling, it is supposed to help reinforce the vaginal walls. In July 2011, the FDA had announced that transvaginal mesh patients who have had a pelvic organ repair surgery using the product may be at a great risk for having mesh complications than other women who used different treatments. Since the manufacturers did not warn patients and doctors that their product was dangerous, many are now filing claims against them.

Below is a list of some of the hospitals in California where you might have had your surgery. This is only a partial list, if the hospital you had your procedure at is not listed, you still may have a case.

  • Ronald Reagen UCLA Medical Center
  • UCSF Medical Center
  • Huntington Memorial Plaza
  • John Muir Medical Center
  • UC San Diego Medical Center
  • Scripps La Jolla Hospital and Clinic

    Hello,
I am doing research for a friend who lost his wife on 12.24.13. I do not see the hospital on your list. Can you please tell me if Loma Linda is on your list? Thank you.

Hello….I had my sling surgery in 2004 at The Huntington Plaza and have long been suffering complications that I was unaware may be linked to this surgery.
I would like to speak with someone regarding this matter, thank you.

I had a total hysterectomy and a midurethral sling put in. My surgery was at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego, CA, November 2005. For the last five years I have had chronic UTI’s and have to take daily prophylactic medication to keep from having a UTI constantly. This has caused me a lot of lost work, pain and unneeded situations.

I would love to hear back from you if I fit in a class-action lawsuit.

I had hysterectomy, entracele, rectacele cystacele Vaginal mesh surgery in 2006. I have been complaining of pain, unable to have sex and many, many more problems since mesh was inserted in vagina. After mesh surgery, I had heart problems and had to have a heart pacemaker put in me. Dr Raz confirmed mesh erosion in vagina in 2013, Many many serious symptoms to numerous to mention on this post.. pain when sitting, I could not walk without a cane. Loss of bowel and urinary problems. I still lose control of bowels, and now have severe urge incontence I had revision surgery with Dr Raz at UCLA los Angeles, in 2014. I was in recovery for at least 12 hours or so. Istill cannot have sex, and I have bladder and recal spasms and pain. I think I now may have one of the many bowel diseases.

I forgot to say. I very well may need a bladder sling made out of my own tissues. All my problems started in 2006 after mesh was put in me. After surgery with mesh, I have been seeing many different doctors through the years. Only Dr Raz has been able to say he seen mesh erosion in vagina, and removed mesh. I never had any heart problems until mesh was put in me.

I had a hysterectomy in 2007 and they placed a pelvic sling. I thought it was the reoccurring UTI and constant pelvic pain was something I had to deal with the rest of my life. I recently found out that was done when looking over old paperwork.
