Are you a Florida resident who has suffered medical complications after having a pelvic organ prolapse repair surgery? The transvaginal mesh implant is a woven type of fabric that is also known as a pelvic sling. It is designed to help reinforce the vaginal walls and helps in treating bladder and pelvic prolapse. Florida has a population of 19,057,542 and any woman who has underwent the surgery and has a mesh product used may be at risk of facing vaginal mesh complications.

These cities in Florida include:

  • Tampa
  • Jacksonville
  • Melbourne
  • Key West
  • Pensacola

In July 2011, the FDA made an announcement that patients who have been using the transvaginal mesh are at greater risk for developing a mesh complication than those who chose another option. Within the last 3 years there have been at least 1,000 reports of serious, and life threatening side effects. Since the manufacturers of the transvaginal mesh failed to warn patients & doctors of the increased risk factor, you may be eligible to gain financial compensation for your medical bills, pain and suffering.

Some side effects of the transvaginal mesh implant include:

  • Infection
  • Pain during sex
  • Mesh erosion
  • Bleeding
  • Urinary problems
  • Vaginal scarring
  • Discomfort
  • Bowel and bladder problems

I had a mesh applied to me in 1999 due to endometriosis. A piece of my abdominal wall was removed and replaced by this mesh. For the past 12 years i have suffered pain dueing intercourse, lifting, coughing, infections, husban suffers pain during intercourse due to erosion with the mesh. Currently the mesh is protruding and breaking skin in the cesaran scar area. My pcp wants me to retyrn to the same surgeon for removal.
    Please advise and represent me.
    Thank you.
