In July 2011, the FDA had announced that those women who have had this procedure and used the sling are at a greater risk for developing mesh complications than a woman who choose other treatment. Because the manufacturers failed to warn doctors and patients of this risk, you may be eligible to file a claim against them.

I had a hysterectomy performed at River Oaks by Dr. Brooks Griffin in July of 1997. He asked me about bladder problems and said there was a new mesh that he could wrap my bladder in to help with this problem. For many, many years I have experiences a burning, tugging feeling inside during intercourse, rolling over in bed, or lifting heavy objects. I have not spoken to anyone about it other than my husband because I wan’t sure what was causing it. I always wondered about the mesh.
