Rhode Island currently is home to 1,051,302 people and women who have had a pelvic organ prolapse repair surgery using the transvaginal mesh, may be at risk. As of July 2011, the FDA made the announcement that women who chose to use the trans vaginal mesh sling as opposed to others who chose different options, are at a much higher risk of developing mesh complications.

Hi, I’m calling for my mom, she’s an elderly and needs to know if she can sue. She had the transvaginal mesh inserted around 1999, and suffered greatly. Please send me a name for a good lawyer.

I had a Vaginal mesh sling for a prolapsed bladder at in 2008 at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London CT. Over the last 2 years or so, I am back to having bladder iincontinence, pain during relations, frequent urinating and vaginal discomfort and irritation. When I had the surgery, the urologist mentioned these mesh slings sometimes don’t hold and are not 100% effective. I am ready to go back to a physician since I am having problems again with incontinence and irritation and uncomfortable discomfort. Please email me with information on a local attorney I can speak with in Rhode Island. I live in Charlestown RI a few towns from North Kingstown, Thank you
